Lightening tour of were all matters to Liam. I got them at Dublin airport on Saturday early. Got ourselves home, unpacked and did some sleeping. A wee walk up the promenade to show JinJin Newcastle is just like Italy, and a delicious meal in Mourne Seafood Bar. While we were ordering, the Coronation Orange parade came down the hill and across the front of the restaurant, so JinJin and I dashed out to wave. We got to wave to Harold in fact, which was lovely. I like Harold despite his defection to the TUV. On Sunday we had a sunny breakfast in the garden beside the three graves, as my relatives describe my new raised beds. Then up Hen, with its impressive stuics so we think we've climbed Slieve Donard sort of. Home via harbours, Kilkeel and Annalong. JinJin not impressed, except with the loo at the Kilmorey Arms she snuck into. Can't remember what we ate. Oh yes I can. After the picnic up Hen, we had snorkers and champ for tea, followed by a wee trip to Lick for the pudding ice cream. Monday took us to Belfast, Titanic tour which was hectic, then the City Hall which was very civilised. JinJin took us for Vietnamese lunch at Madame Pho on Botanic, which was delicious, and, in my case, educational. We met up with Chris and did a bit of canvassing with him in Stranmillis, just finishing before a torrential downpour. We gave him a lift home and got to meet Becky and the wee dogggie. Called into Downpatrick to get a photo by the grave. Tuesday was my appointment in hell, so Liam and JinJin were booked into a glamping pod at the Enniskeen. Alicia had to take them as I was caught up preparing for hell. They got the full works, the private spa, which turns out to be a sauna, a hamper of things to toast on the fire pit and some Prosecco, dinner in the Enniskeen and a breakfast hamper delivered to their pod. They loved it, thank goodness. Kevin had to collect them while I cleared my head after hell. Liam and JinJin did the lovely river walk at Tollymore, and walked through to Tullybrannigan and home. Got a bit saturated, but managed their picnic while the sun blinked out. Tea that evening was Pizza Palazzo, which they loved, thank goodness - they super sensors are very picky. Pudding was ice cream, strawberries and Alicia's wonderful strawberry and rhubarb compote. Thursday was Whitehead, Blackhead, fish supper on the promenade and a wee visit to Jack. We wandered up as far as Carnlough, viewed some continuity flags and a starry plough. Our bizarre route home took us past the airport to Lurgan to visit the four houses we had lived in and viewed some very sophisticated UDA murals which have replaced the LVF Rat murals. We had a wee darkening hour walk through Lurgan Park, which is indeed lovely. We just ate sodas for a very late tea, and for pudding a donkey's nose supplied by Alicia for a previous packed lunch. Friday morning was the Slieve Donard spa. I did lengths, JinJin did one length in one breath and humiliated me. Liam disgraced me with his drowning front crawl style, but only did half a length so he didn't disgrace me for long. JinJin made the most of the steam room and I persuaded a reluctant Liam into the jacuzzi which he claimed was too hot, until his blood warmed up and the bubbles started. Lunch in the Lighthouse just before it turns into the Percy French while the Percy French does itself up. Then a quick turnaround and off to Dublin airport for their plane to Prague. Two more days of possibilities next week. What will we do?
