Eating My Way Back

I am not easy to help. I like to be independent. I must also have a terrible reputation that only sugar will do. Alicia came first and brought me German biscuits, four of them. There has been six, but she had had to taste one herself, and Gerry had nicked the second one. Then came Kay and Helen, with chocolate wafers and a bag of Munchies. Kevin came in secret code with Fruit and Nut and Dairy Milk Dime Bar. On the same visit, Gráinne came with chocolate Yellow Man and a Fosters hazelnut boat of happy memory. Once I got myself home, Gráinne was back with a full shop, including yoghurt, strawberries, milk, bananas, a coriander plant and a bunch of daffodils. Mairi came so many times with magnificent ginger soup and home made seedy wheaten, with salzige herringe, and cake. Irene brought German biscuits, a great big snowball and primulae. Anne called by with a big bag of Liquorice Allsorts. Jo baked chocolate chip buns. Kay baked gorgeous muffins. Ria brought wee tubs of soup and dal and sticky buns. Kevin came and cooked fish dinner. Then the raging wee brother chipped in with a huge Easter egg followed by a double layer of Thornton's Continentals and a box of toffee. Melanie came with a venison dinner and a big bar of Dairy Milk and wonderful tulips. Mairi came with birthday cake to share, more Fruit and Nut and wee oranges to take the bad look off my diet. How have I not burst. I may do yet. I know the best people on the planet.
